Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Kikumi (“Kikumi”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Kikumi web application and related services (the “Service”) available at kikumi.it.com. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, basic profile details (name and profile picture) provided by Google. During onboarding you may optionally provide your full name, phone number and occupation.
Content you create
We store the data you choose to save, such as budgets, to-do items, payment reminders, spreadsheets and saved calculations, so that it is available across your devices.
Local-only data
Many tools work offline. Some data may be stored only in your browser’s local storage on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you are signed in and syncing is enabled.
Technical information
Like most online services, our hosting and infrastructure providers may automatically process limited technical data (such as IP address, browser type and request logs) for security, abuse prevention and reliability.
2. How we use your information
- To provide, maintain and improve the Service.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To sync your saved content across your devices.
- To respond to your requests and provide customer support.
- To detect, prevent and address technical issues, fraud or abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your saved financial data for advertising.
3. Authentication & third-party sign-in
We use Supabase Auth to manage accounts. If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google shares your email and basic profile with us to create or access your account, subject to Google’s own privacy policy. We only request the minimum profile scope needed to sign you in.
4. Where your data is stored
Account data and saved content are stored using Supabase (PostgreSQL) infrastructure. Access to your records is protected with per-user row-level security so that only you can read and write your own data. The application is hosted on Vercel.
5. Data retention
We retain your account and saved data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual records at any time within the app. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, contact us at support@kikumi.it.com.
6. Cookies & local storage
We use strictly necessary cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as theme and currency), and enable offline functionality. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@kikumi.it.com.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Financial information disclaimer
Kikumi provides estimates and informational tools only (for example mobile money fees, taxes, loan, salary and import-duty calculations). These are not financial, tax or legal advice. Always verify figures against official sources before relying on them.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
11. Contact us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact us at support@kikumi.it.com.
